A long day with the semi's against Cochrane's and final
against Holderness concluded with more success for MBC.
This is the third year running that we have won the Marshall
Shield.

Cup. The game will be played on a neutral green on 31st

NYEBA
Locally in the NYEBA competitions, Steve Slaughter won the
singles, Peter Watkins & Tommy Carroll won the pairs.
SDNY
In the SDNY competitions, Steve Slaughter, Tommy Carroll and
Roger Godley won the rinks, Brian Hannaford and Stuart Forrest
were runners-up in the pairs.
Top
Ten
Saturday 21 August saw more success for the club when
we won the Top Ten trophy.
In the semi-final we had a comfortable win over Skelton with
all rinks winning. In the Final we played Brotton and this was
a much harder game, we won the singles and pairs but lost the
triples & fours.....so it was down to 'total shots'.....we won
by two shots...phew!

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS |

Northern
County Championships
Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Lancashire and Yorkshire will
compete in the Northern County Championships on 4-5 September.
Once again, this prestigious competition will be hosted by
Middlesbrough Bowling Club. |
